PRIVATE EXPERIENCES

Every piece tells a story — and so do the moments surrounding it.

Through a series of carefully curated events, we bring our community closer to the essence of what we do. These gatherings are not only about jewelry, but about connection, purpose, and the stories that unite us.

A Story of Craft, Connection, and Purpose

Since 2001, a remarkable mission has been quietly transforming lives in Ecuador. Through dedication, compassion, and expertise, a group of international volunteers travels each year to bring hope to those in need.

What began as a medical initiative has evolved into something deeper — a story of human connection, shared values, and unexpected encounters that transcend borders.

A Mission That Changes Lives

Each year, a team of doctors, nurses, and specialists arrives in Quito with one purpose: to provide life-changing orthopedic care to children and adults.

Through their work, individuals who once faced limited mobility are given a new beginning — the ability to walk, to move, to live with dignity.

Beyond surgery, their impact extends to local hospitals, supporting them with equipment and medical training that continues long after they leave.

Their presence is not only transformative — it is deeply human.

A Meaningful Connection

It all began at the old artisan market in El Ejido Park, where our founder, Byron Ushina, displayed his jewelry on a small table.

One day, a woman named Barb Moreau stopped, drawn to his designs. She recognized something familiar—she owned a similar piece she had purchased years before in Germany.

That moment revealed an unexpected connection.
Years earlier, Byron had exhibited his work in Germany, including in Heidelberg—where Barb had unknowingly purchased one of his pieces.

What seemed like coincidence became something much deeper.

That encounter marked the beginning of a meaningful relationship with CAMTA.

Barb invited Byron to share his work with the CAMTA team, and since 2008, we have proudly connected with this incredible community.

Today, we continue to support their mission by donating a portion of our sales to help fund their work in Ecuador.
